Sporting Clays
Shotgun Spoken Here
Buck and Bull Club members gather to shoot sporting clays on the second and fourth Wednesdays of each month. Both experienced and new shooters are welcome.
These informal matches are open to the public. Email sportingclays@buckandbull.org for more information.
Sporting Clays has been called "golf with a shotgun." Instead of the more formal skeet or trap, in sporting clays you'll encounter a wide variety of targets that mimic hunting situations. Teal may spring straight up. Clay birds may fly toward you or away, or cross from either direction. There's even a rabbit target that runs across the ground. Check out the National Sporting Clays Association.
